Because it is spring and because I can't stop buying flowers I had to come up with another place for yet another pot of flowers. And because I have been salvaging through the old sheds at the farm (see what else I found here) coming across some cool stuff I couldn't help but turn this "find" into a flower pot {with the help of my friend and neighbor's husband because my hubs was out of town}.
The chair is old which I love. The chair is white which I love. The chair has old chippy paint which I love love love. I think it is perfect and cute. The chair did have one leg that was a little shorter than the others, but in this case it works!
I traced the size of circle I wanted for the terra cotta flower pot to sit in and then my friend and neighbor's husband used a 1" drill bit to cut an access point for the jigsaw to fit in to cut the circle. It took all of 5 minutes for this beauty to come to life!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteThis brings back great memories =) My mom used to have these in our gardens when I was growing up.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and love your LIFE! I wish I lived on a farm! However, for now I'm traveling around the states with my hubby in an RV! Hopefully someday I'll get my property =)
Found your blog through my sister's, Little Lucy Lu. Glad to stumble upon yours! I'm your newest follower!

Love the chair. I'm partial to chairs. Don't know why. That is a good plant holder. Hope we get to see a picture when it's in full bloom....
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
I just love this ... and as my sis said - yep, reminds me of "home". :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
And thanks for linking up!

ReplyDeleteI have a chair just like yours sitting on my porch with a plant on it. What a great idea to put a hole in the chair!!
